Texas Black Chamber Calls on Business Owners Across the State to Unite at the 2026 TAAACC Annual Conference
Conference Scheduled for September 23–25 in Fort Worth, Texas
AUSTIN, Texas — At a time when Black-owned businesses continue to face challenges in accessing capital, competing for procurement opportunities, expanding their customer base, and building generational wealth, the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC), also known as the Texas Black Chamber, is calling on entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and community leaders from across the state to come together for its 2026 Annual Conference, September 23–25 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Under the leadership of Charles O'Neal, President of TAAACC, the organization continues its mission of strengthening Black-owned businesses through advocacy, education, strategic partnerships, and economic opportunity. TAAACC represents a statewide network supporting more than 350,000 Black-owned businesses and works to expand access to public and private procurement opportunities while advocating for policies that strengthen Texas' Black business community.

"Black-owned businesses have always been engines of innovation, resilience, and economic growth," said Charles O'Neal, President of TAAACC. "Today's business environment demands collaboration, strategic partnerships, and a united voice. Our annual conference is where entrepreneurs come together to learn, connect, and position themselves for greater success."
The three-day conference will bring together business owners, corporate leaders, elected officials, procurement professionals, economic development organizations, and entrepreneurs to discuss strategies for business growth, government contracting, access to capital, technology, leadership, workforce development, and economic empowerment.
A Critical Moment for Black Business
Texas is one of the nation's fastest-growing economies, yet many Black-owned businesses continue to encounter barriers that limit their ability to fully participate in that growth. These challenges include:
- Limited access to capital and investment.
- Unequal access to contracting and procurement opportunities.
- Workforce recruitment and retention challenges.
- The need to embrace emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.
- Building sustainable businesses that create long-term wealth for future generations.
The TAAACC Annual Business Conference is designed to address these challenges by providing practical solutions, networking opportunities, and direct access to decision-makers from both the public and private sectors.
